Day 137: God’s Voice and God’s Way

Today we read 1 Kings 13, 2 Chronicles 12-13, and Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) 2. Today the story reminds us of the importance of listening to God’s word and direction over our life and not allowing, even reputable people, to turn our steps away from the directions God gave us. This story reminds us of God’s grace and the cycles of redemption. We’re reminded by the prophet of the power and importance of intercession for the rebellious. How God remains faithful and we struggle with faithfulness, falling away, remembering, receiving God’s grace, and restoration. Even in consequences and periods of exile, God will be faithful to His promises and deliver.
